A Portland Illustrator + Muralist.
We may be biased, but we think Little is a pretty cute place. We are blessed with an amazing space, + an incredible storefront. This month, our windows will be even cuter thanks to the help of Taylor Mirabito. Taylor is a local illustrator that if you're not already familiar with, you'll want to be!
Taylor graduated from Maine College of Art with a degree in illustration in 2016 + has been working on creating prints + murals with a focus on children's illustration in Portland ever since. Most recently she has worked on large scale projects for MECA + Knack Factory. Taylor is also a member of the Hired Wrights, a collective of artists, designers, + craftspeople in Portland.
Taylor reached out to us here at Little a few months ago. She thought her style + illustrations would be a perfect fit with our aesthetic here at Little + wanted to see how we could create some magic. After looking through her work, we couldn't agree more. We met for coffee to talk about ways we could work together.
We thought June would be just the right month to kick off summer with something extra special. We have a lot going on at Little this month (check out our events calendar if you haven't already) + all of our events are geared towards the start of summer. With Taylor's help + using her work as inspiration, we went full-on summer with the design!
Today, Taylor is painting a true Maine summer scene on our windows, filled with kids, floats, water, + happiness. We cannot wait for you all to see the final window display during the Square Hop + Window Walk this Friday. If you can't make it then, it will be up all month long!
A big thank you to Taylor for adding such a beautiful + fun touch to our little store. You can find her work around Portland + at Little for the month of June.
